Agora Events

Event ticketing marketplace

Agora Events sells tickets for live events. We built the marketplace and the tools around it: fair queues when demand spikes, payouts straight to organisers, and dashboards for door staff and artists on the night.

The brief.

When a popular event goes on sale, people should keep their place in line and nobody should pay for a ticket that has already gone.

Organisers need their money and their numbers without chasing anyone, and the team on the door needs to check people in quickly.

What we built.

Fair queues for busy on-sales: Availability updates live and the queue shows each person's position. Offers are held for a set time, then passed to the next person if they aren't taken up.
Payouts to organisers: Stripe Connect pays organisers directly, with webhooks handled and refunds automated, including bulk refunds if an event is cancelled.
Tickets on the phone: QR code tickets that can be transferred, invite links to claim them, and a button to add the event to a calendar.
Tools for the night: A door dashboard for scanning tickets and tracking capacity, and an artist dashboard with schedules and setlists.
Everything an organiser runs: Multi-ticket checkout, discount codes, waitlists, time-limited offers, affiliate tracking, private listings, analytics and event pages built to be found in search.
